My budget is ₹1,00,000 (USD $1170.19). I live in India so I am guessing I need a decent cooler for the heat?

l'll be using the PC for a mix of professional and gaming tasks. Primarily, I work in After Effects, Photoshop, for motion graphics, animation, video editing, and design. I also record and edit gameplay footage. Gaming wise, I play a mix of modern AAA (GOW, MW3, Last of Us, etc) and competitive titles (siege, valorant, cs)

  • Intel i5-8400
  • MSI Ventus 1660Ti OC
  • Gigabyte Z370M D3H-CF
  • Coolermaster mwe 550 80plus bronze
  • 32gb Corsair Vengence 3200mhz cl16
  • Corsair Carbide spec 04 Mid Tower (gonna reuse)
  • Crucial 500gb sata m.2 ssd + 1tb WD Blue HDD (gonna reuse)
Only the GPU is 6 years old, everything else is 8+ years old.

I have a HP 60hz monitor, but I recently got myself a Acer Nitro VG271U M3 27 inch IPS WQHD 1440p 180Hz. So I have dual monitor setup. Plus 3 Extra case fans.

The new pc parts I want to get from Vedantcomputers.com. They have a local shop here, and they made my friend a custom pc too. A second option would be mdcomputers.in, but their prices are slightly higher, but both are still cheaper than Amazon.in
I don't want to use Rx 9060 xt because a lot of apps don't support amd cards. And I'm keeping the old case, Corsair Carbide spec 04 as it supports ATX, itx and m atx.

Official documentation says - Maximum CPU Cooler Height: 150mm, Radiator Compatibility: 120mm
So I need a cooler recommendation that's lower than 150mm, and not crazy expensive. If I can't find anything good, I'll use 7600 which comes with stock cooler.

Let me know how it looks. Thanks for reading this, I appreciate it.

You should get a better PSU, like a Corsair RMx series one.

Your best option for a CPU cooler I think is a Noctua NH-L12S, but you may be better off buying a new case that supports better cooling options.

Maybe consider another case that will take a more common cooler that is in the 155 range. Read the cooler reviews. You have massive number of noctua "fan" boys on this forum. If price doesn't matter then noctua tends to be just slightly better, sometimes. It cost massively more and you are not really going to have a issue with other brands

I would sample a bunch of sites that have done cooler reviews. They have a review of a new thermaltake model that is only a couple weeks old now on toms it has dropped off the front page so you will have to search. You will find a large number of fairly cheap coolers that will do the job. There is not a huge difference between the ability to cool the cpu. Most difference are related to how much noise the fans make doing it. Thermaltake models tend to be ranked very high in the lists and is one of the cheapest coolers you can get.
