Question Wrong PSU for RX 570

Hi there, I made a very stupid mistake,it's my brother's birthday so i ordered him an rx 570 that needs a 1 x 6 pin, guess what his psu doesn't have that. what is a recommended psu that is NOT expensive with not expensive i mean under 55 euro's.

It's one 400w but he doesn't do overclocking.

I would recommend you choose a better model altogether, if you can afford it. Something from Seasonic, EVGA, or Corsair.

I wouldnt buy that psu right now. You could get a better model. The rx570 is power hungry.

Yes, but it is underpowered for the RX 570.

Not worth using the 570 with that psu and at a legitimate risk of smoke and failure killing your components.

3 euro over budget but the cheapest I'd recommend.

While AMD does recommend a 450 watt PSU, they are making that recommendation without knowing what kind of other hardware the card will be paired with. The 2200G isn't a particularly power-hungry CPU, so I suspect a semi-decent 400 watt might be okay. If it doesn't cost much more to go with a 500 watt model, it's probably worth doing so though.

As for the connections, that 400 watt Cooler Master does appear to have a PCIe 6+2pin cable. Most 500 watt PSUs should typically include two of them. Again, while it might work, paying a little bit more for a 500 watt unit like the one in the previous post might be a safer bet, and better suited for potential future upgrades.

Thanks, i won't risk it, does all PSU work with every motherboard or does it need specific pins or something?

Also what do you mean with not for a long time, after i get that GPU i can get a new psu the next day.

In my country the Seasonic ones really cost way more then in the US so that's why i don't pick those.
Is it better to pick a gold one or would bronze be fine?

I ment over time the psu may fail. You may be able to run it on the current psu for awhile. Bronze would be fine a 570 and 2200g. Id get the cooler master for more efficiency.
