I currently have a Ryzen 5600X and it's worked great with 7800 XT GPU. I am planning to buy a 5800X3D but it is currently not available in my country. So I was thinking of buying a 5700X3D as it is available at price $225. Is this a good buy or should I wait more for AM5 as i am on a strict budget here.

it depends if this is for gaming

ryzen 5700x3d is your best for that aboard and last

at 1080p its best
at 1440p you wont see vastly massive jumps in framerate average but the 1 percent lows will be alot better.

the cache is much quicker.

please keep in mind a 5700x3d is a bit of a diffrent beast because of the way the cache is stacked.

at least have a 6 heatpipe cooler which can be had on the budget end. thermalright burst for example if your case is a tight fit.

Yes it's only for gaming at 1440p.... I have also have an air cooler Deepcool AG620G.

I don't know why 5800x3d is not available at msrp but yes it is available only in some few websites like 900usd to 1000usd which I think is waste of money

I have not seen 5800x3d's with retailers for a long time. It seems that the 5700x3d has essentially replaced it. Very minimal difference between the two though and still a very good chip

its discontinued mostly due to 1. it was a limited run most likely from chips that didnt make a 5800x clock speed so they used them to make the 5800x3d.

same goes for 5700x3d
